Hiking and cycling routes in Spain

Many of the walks here are Caminos to Santiago. They’re the easiest long walks in Spain to plan, waymarked and with pilgrim hostels all the way. Most of the others go into the mountains. The GR 11 crosses the Spanish side of the Pyrenees, and Carros de Foc links the nine staffed refuges of the Aigüestortes national park. The Ruta del Cares and the Caminito del Rey are short walks through gorges. There are fewer bike routes, and the Senda del Oso in Asturias is a greenway on an old mining railway.
