Track your bike tour on a map

Pebbls draws your route as you ride. Stop for a photo and a few words when you like, and the people at home can follow along without you posting every evening. It works for a weekend loop and for a year on the road.

It keeps recording when you lose signal

Your route is saved on your phone and sent when you're back in signal, after a day in the mountains or a week of empty roads.

Easy on your data

Your ride saves to your phone and uploads in the background. Abroad, set it to Wi-Fi only and it waits for the campsite or café wifi.

Family can follow from one link

Send one link and anyone can watch your line creep across the map, no app or account needed. If they want a note each time you post, a free account takes a few seconds.

A film of every day's ride

Each chapter gets a short flyby film that follows the road you rode, climbs and all. They're free and you can share them anywhere.

Where these rides went

The lines are what their phones recorded on the bike, and the photos sit where they were taken.

Using it on a long tour

A chapter for every day

Start a new chapter when you set off in the morning, or one for each stage if you'd rather. Every chapter gets its own line, distance and film, and the whole tour sits on one map. Jeremy's ride across Canada has 77 chapters.

Days off the bike

Rest days, a train to skip a busy stretch, a ferry: pick how you're travelling and the line shows it, so the map is clear about which bits you rode. Simon and Lucy's UK to Georgia is 5,420 km by bike, plus the ferries and trains in between.

When you get home

The whole tour stays on one page: the map with every day's line, your photos in the order you took them, and the films. Print the map for the wall, or send the link next time someone asks how far you went.

Free, with no adverts

Tracking, photos and notes, your map and journal, flyby films and sharing all cost nothing. Family see your route fill in every few minutes. If you want more, Explorer is $20 a year: your map keeps up with you as you ride, and you get private journeys and offline maps.

Questions

Does it work without signal?

Yes. It keeps recording and uploads when you're back in signal. Photos wait on your phone until then too.

Will it drain my battery?

It uses GPS while you're tracking, like any map app. On long days a power bank in the bar bag, or a dynamo charger, keeps it going.

Can I track a tour across several countries?

Yes. A journey can run for months. Start new chapters as you go and they all sit on one map.

Do my family need the app to follow?

No. They open your link in any browser. A free account just means they get a note when you post.

Can I keep my tour private?

With Explorer you can make a journey private or put a password on it. On the free plan your journeys are public, and you share them by link.

Is it free?

Yes, tracking, photos, maps and flyby films are free. Explorer is optional.
