Make a flyby film of a route
What it makes
Route to video turns any route into a flyby film: the camera follows your line across satellite imagery, slows down at each moment you add to show its photos, and ends with a card showing your route, your name and the distance. It works for trips you didn't track with the Pebbls app, and you don't need an account. Start at www.pebbls.com/route-video.
Three steps
- Your route: upload a GPX file, or tap Draw it on the map and tap your way along. With Follow roads and paths on, the line follows the roads; switch it off for sea crossings or open ground.
- How you travelled: pick the transport. If it changed along the way, tap Changed transport along the way?, tap the spot on the route and choose what you switched to.
- Moments: tap Add a moment, then tap the route where it happened. Give it a name, a line or two, an icon and up to 3 photos (4 on a Premium film).
- Your film: choose Free or Premium, the video format, your picture and title, add your email, then Make my film.
Saving and coming back
Everything saves as you go. Your project has its own private link, which is in the email we send, and the Route to video start page lists the projects you started on that device. Untouched drafts are deleted after a week.
Free film limits
A free film covers up to 200 km with up to 10 moments and 3 photos per moment. Longer routes can be trimmed to the stretch you want, or made as a Premium film (up to 2,000 km and 50 moments).
