Getting a GPX file
What a GPX is
A GPX is the file most apps, bike computers and watches use to save a route: a list of points along the way. Route to video reads the track from it, and any named waypoints in it can become moments.
Where to find it
- Strava: on strava.com (the app can't export), open the activity, press the ··· menu, then Export GPX.
- Garmin Connect: on connect.garmin.com, open the activity, press the cog, then Export to GPX.
- Komoot: on komoot.com, open the tour, press the ··· menu, then Download GPX file.
- AllTrails: on alltrails.com, open your recording, press the ··· menu, then Download route and choose GPX.
- Wahoo, Hammerhead and Apple Watch: easiest through Strava or Komoot if your rides and workouts sync there.
- Pebbls: Explorer members can download every chapter of their journeys as a GPX file from the journey map.
No GPX?
Draw the route on the map instead: tap where you started, then along your way. It follows roads and paths as you tap, and Undo takes back the last bit.
