FIT to GPX

Watches and bike computers save rides and runs as FIT files, and most map apps can't open them. Drop one here to see it on the map and save it as a GPX. TCX files work too.

Your files stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

How to change FIT to GPX

  1. Drop the FIT or TCX file here or choose it. A zip from Garmin Connect's Export Original works as it is.
  2. Check it on the map, then press Save as GPX. It goes to your downloads.

What comes across

Each point keeps where you were and when, and your height if the watch recorded it. A pause in the recording becomes a separate piece of the track, so the GPX doesn't draw a line across a stop. Heart rate and power aren't copied into the GPX yet.

Where to find the FIT file

Questions

Can it read files from any watch?

It reads standard FIT activity and course files, which is what Garmin, Wahoo, Coros, Suunto and others write. If one doesn't open, the app it came from can usually save a GPX itself.

Why are there gaps in the line?

The watch was paused, by auto-pause at the lights or by you at lunch. Each stretch stays its own piece, as your watch recorded it.

Is my file uploaded?

No. Your browser converts it on your device. Nothing leaves it unless you press the button to make a film.
