Bilboa to....?
Camping Portuondo Mundaka
Uitgeput! 49 km en een paar heuvels van 300/400 meter... je denkt dat je boven bent, maar dan gaat het weer omlaag... en dan weer omhoog. 13% was te veel voor me, ik moest lopen - meer een kwestie van duwen, rusten, duwen. Op de terugweg was het 17%, gelukkig een andere route morgen, maar weer 13%... tegen de 'grote' volgende week ben ik er misschien wel klaar voor, of het wordt een heel lange wandeling!
Maar voor nu: gedoucht, kleren 'gewassen' en een kop koffie!

Change of route!
Chatting to a local. Told him my next 30 km.....he looked bemused! I didn't know the language but had a "why?!!!" look! He suggested turn left, head to coast. Very helpful guy..,...sounded genuine...🤔😂
I don't have enough data to reprogramme my bike gps so a few paper notes......what could go wrong!
Camp galdona
Original camp dute closed! Young chap with that needed bump starting gave me a lift to another up a very steep hill. Very kind. "My father is your age...".

De camping is vol! Laat me erin... phew!!
En hier ben ik weer bij mijn terugkeer! Had ik maar naar een nieuw hoofdstuk moeten overschakelen voor een andere kleurcode!
Second leg.....but I won't reach the top
On present form the pass will be too steep/sustained (me unfit/too heavy, plus crank bearing playing up), so i think I'll need to retrace my route back down.
Amara change trains
Narrow gauge bike carrying train Hendaye to Bilbao.
Met great couple and 9 year old travelling for a few months already, up to a year. I thought i was heavily loaded! They manage up to 11% hills....... I'm walking pushing at 7 - 8%!!
