We began our journey, Saturday, July 6, driving to long term parking at YVR (Vancouver International Airport) and getting ourselves into a travel mindset. After dropping our bags at check-in, we made our way through security and found our departure gate. With more than an hour before departure, we hit one of the local eateries, knowing that there would be little to no food available on the flight. We finally took to the air at 3:40 pm for an uneventful flight and landed in Reykjavik at 6:00 am, Sunday morning. After making our way through customs and baggage retrieval, we found the coach to take us to our lodgings, Hotel Ísland.
